The TRREEE Principles

The TRREEE principles should guide all research about, with and by children and young people:

The principles are often aimed at adults because they occupy positions of power over children and young people, for instance as parents, teachers, youth workers etc. Generally, adults initiate and consequently lead research. However, the principles equally apply to children and young people leading and participating in research.
